To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven
Ecclesiastes 3:1
Dear friends,
Last year our church celebrated its 37th year in existence. Some of you have been with us from the beginning and know the many trials and triumphs we’ve experienced throughout the years. We have always been a small church but I have always believed that God’s power is limitless. And He has certainly made His presence known these many years.
But this year the Living Word Fellowship will cease operations. This was not an easy decision to make. The main reasons are our church’s small size and inability to meet future expenses. I have never believed in asking people for money. My attitude has always been that, as long as God wants the work to continue He will provide. For 13 years I have led this church and not once has the Lord ever failed us. But now I believe the Lord has different plans for us. We seek to follow His will wherever He will lead.
I have asked if I will continue to minister online. My answer is “not at this time.” I am not a supporter of online ministries. In fact online ministries are indirectly responsible for our church closing its doors. I believe God wants us to be physically present in a church where we can serve each other and encourage each other in His presence.
To that end, I am stepping away from active ministry for some time to seek what God wants me to do next. When I know what He wants done, then I will minister again.
Until that time I encourage all to walk in the grace of Jesus Christ. For in Him alone is life.
